Neighborhood & Community Development Community of Practice
The UCITY Family Zone Neighborhood & Community Development Community of Practice (N&CD CoP) aims to unite and engage UCITY Family Zone residents and organizations with a common interest in enhancing our communities’ well-being by supporting collaborative networks and leveraging community resources for:
-
Affordable, Mixed-Income Housing
-
Capacity Building
-
Resident Support and Safety
-
Economic Development
The Neighborhood & Community Development CoP meets every month to engage in discussions, learning, and community-based activities centered around affordable mixed-income housing, economic stability, neighborhood safety, the built environment, and innovative ways to advance community organizations’ missions. Together, we develop and align shared practices for implementing creative, resident-led neighborhood development efforts in the UCITY Family Zone. We aim to support a built community environment that promotes health, equity, and optimal quality of life for all through cultivating partnerships, measurable change, and resident-led capacity building.
